Read your blog on Nov 13th 2010 Day 938 http://bigb.bigadda.com/. Had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat as I read it.So much depth, pain & love in your words. Reminded me of my Ma who we lost in 1997 when she was 47 yrs old ….I cant get over the fact that i wasnt by her side when she took her last breath. She was in a hospital in Jamshedpur.I was doing my post graduation in Balabhai Nanavati Hospital,Mumbai. She was hospitalised on 25th Dec 1997 due to sudden brain haemaorrhage.I was informed that evening. I didnt have money to take a flight. So i had was all set to leave by train the next day.But it was late.Ma decided to leave us before i could reach..was it my bad fortune ? or my karma ? I still cannot figure out. Born on 12th of Aug 1949, my ma was a surviver, a struggler against all odds & above all,she was a huge fan of “Amitji”.It was probably because of her that al three of us siblings grew on all the Amitabh Bachchan movies.We saw each movie not once but twice,thrice…usually on the front row of the cinema hall as the back seat tickets were expensive & we couldnt afford them. Zanjeer,Abhimaan,Mili & Silsila were her favourites. She loved Jayaji.She was infact in many ways like Jayaji or perhaps she imbibed Jayaji’s real & reel virtues.And actually she loved Jayaji more than Sir. She must have been one of the happiest persons on earth in 1973 when her two favourite stars got married to each other…As a child,I would write many letters to my favourite Sir Bachchan, my idol,My God & every time,I’d get a reply from Prateeksha,Mumbai, my Ma would be more thrilled than me ……..Two people I have always been inspired by all my life …My Ma and Sir Amitabh Bachchan…Had she been alive,she would have been on cloud nine on 9th Nov 2010,the day I met Mr Bachchan for a few minutes,thanks to my dear friend,Jitesh P.I think she may have still been very happy watching me from somewhere above….I think you did her happy as much as you had me ecstatic….Thankyou so much Sir. May you have a long long life…May you have all the happiness in the world.
