What’s the mechanism behind this HIFU ?
HIFU generates ultrasound waves of high intensity that penetrate deep into the skin which rapidly heat up the tissues and cause thermal damage in that particular area. Since the high frequency beams are focused in a specific site below the skins surface there is no damage to the upper layer of the skin and adjacent tissue.This injury stimulates new collagen formation along with the shrinkage of existing ones.

Procedure
A numbing cream is applied on the face and neck for about 45-60 min to reduce the pricking and hot sensation created by the ultrasound waves on treatment. This is followed by delivering the ultrasound energy to the desired area. It takes around 30 min for the face and 45 min for the neck. You can resume your normal activities immediately after the procedure. But it is advisable to avoid any facial massages, scrubbing, steam and sauna for about a week. It is extremely safe with no side effects apart from minimal redness due to the heat.
Usually only 2 sessions are required with an interval of 3 months. The immediate effects are subtle skin tightening. The full maximum result will be evident after 3 months of the 1st session. The effects last for around a year provided your weight is constant. After a year you can get a maintenance session if you wish to.
